NDIA update re Therapy Supports:

The National Disability Insurance Agency has advised that Therapy Providers are no longer able to use Core Funding for circumstances where the support is not linked to one of the approved Disability Related Health Supports. The NDIA has advised that participants must apply for a plan reassessment by following their Change in Circumstances process rather than use these line items moving forward. Therapy Line items under Capacity Building – Improved Daily Living Skills, are still available if the participant has that support category and available funding in their plan.

As of July 1, 2023, a new NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits 2023-24 “price guide” was released. Please review page 37 of the price guide for Disability-Related Health Supports and page 53 of the price guide for Therapy Supports and Early Childhood Supports that can be used in relation to these Disability-Related Health Supports.

If you have realised you have used the wrong line item, please contact our Plan Management Team at [email protected] and we can help you correct your invoices in the NDIS system.

It is important to note that any provider submitting invoices to the NDIS for payment could be audited by the NDIS. If the NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Commission’s deem this service not to be reasonable and necessary or not fall into the appropriate registration group for which an invoice has been claimed, all funds may be required to be returned.

Please note: It is a possibility that in the future this line item could be removed from the NDIS price guide.
