Started with Auscare Support:
June 2023
What I do:
I support people to find independence through referring workers who can assist with the day-to-day routines. I am looking forward to helping people achieve their life goals and feel secure in their day to day lives.
Unique skills:
I am a social worker who has worked in difficult situations and feel that any challenge presented, there is always a solution. I have provided strong advocacy in the past and using these skills as a support coordinator will assist me in being persistent and supportive in this role.
Previous experience:
I have worked as a child advocate in the past, working hard to keep children and young people safe. I have worked with families to achieve their life’s goals and ensuring that they can sustain their long-term goals.
Other interesting roles:
I have worked in isolated Communities to which there were no supports available to assist people in need. I developed the community to include much needed agencies that could outreach or supply workers regularly to the town.
I feel that having worked under such difficult circumstances will assist me in seeking support and or building capacity in the area to reduce travel and anxiety to the participants I work with.
I worked holistically and consider everything possible solution in an effort to find a sustainable plan for the people I work with.
What’s Auscare Support like?
I am enjoying the supportive nature of Auscare Support and believe that this space will give me the tools to achieve my goals and the goals of my participants.
Life outside:
I own a family farm and have numerous animals that require my attention most days. I enjoy being with my family and friends who give me a work/life balance and remind me to think about me.
To sum me up:
I am a person who has no limits when helping others.
