What I do:
I help participants navigate the NDIS so they can live the life they want. I tailor the support I provide to each person’s needs, so they can make the most of their plans and work towards achieving their goals. I help resolve any issues and connect participants with service providers that are right for them.
Unique skills:
I have personal experience navigating the NDIS on behalf of my son. I had to strongly argue for my son to receive the support he needed. I know how overwhelming it can feel trying to get the support you need. This is why I am so passionate about helping others work through the system.
Previous experience:
I was a personal injury lawyer for 13 years. So I have lots of experience analysing legislation, compiling evidence, writing persuasive submissions, negotiating great outcomes for clients and appearing in Court. All of these skills are really useful as a Support Coordinator!
Other interesting roles:
I have also worked in my own small beauty business. Just like with Support Coordination, I built close relationships with my clients. Both roles suit me because I love connecting with people and learning all about them.
I am also studying psychology at university because I have always been fascinated with how people think, feel and behave.

Life outside:
I love getting outdoors with my two sons. We take our dog to the beach nearly every day. I also like snuggling up with a good book.

What I do:
As a Support Coordinator I work with people to help them understand their NDIS plans and how to use it. My passion is to connect them with the right providers, supports and services to help them achieve their goals and provide ongoing support and assistance so they can live their best life.

I am committed, have strong communication skills and build strong relationships. I will always be transparent and honest.
Previous experience:
My previous experience in Support Coordination has given me the opportunity to work with a diverse group of people and the opportunity to learn every single day. Before this, I was in the Disability Employment sector, and this job was the catalyst in me realising the passion I have to support people to achieve their goals.
Other interesting roles:
I was lucky enough to be in the travel industry for over 20 years, which took me to some amazing destinations and have some awesome experiences. New York is an absolute favourite!

What I do:
As a support coordinator at Auscare support my role is to assist participants understand there NDIS plans and help guide them throughout their NDIS journey. It is my priority to help all my participants feel heard, empowered and supported to reach their individual goals. I work with great care, determination and passion to find the supports and solutions my clients need to live a fulfilling life.
Unique skills:
I have extensive experience working hands on in the disability sector with participants who live with various physical, neurological, neurodiverse and mental health disabilities. I am a avid researcher and have a unwavering drive and dedication to help my participants in achieving their desired outcomes. I hold space to really listen to my participants needs and empower them to have control and confidence in their choices and feel heard, supported and respected.
Previous experience:
I have a background in mental health in community services and aged care. Before contracting to Auscare Support, I have worked as an independent NDIS support worker for the past 4 years working closely with participants and their families within their homes and community. Within that role I gained insight into NDIS participants’ individual needs and values, I have seen where they had been let down and there needs not being genuinely heard and worked towards in a productive manner, this experience gives me greater drive and passion on how I conduct myself and my work as a support coordinator.
Other interesting roles:
Besides working in the disability sector, I have always had great interest in volunteering for remote community programs to help their community access clothing, food ect this role took researching skill, gathering information, and working with stakeholders to acquire necessary items needed.

Life outside:
Outside of my career I am a, wife and mother to 3 beautiful children, before moving to our second home Darwin NT, we lived on our lovely rural property in our hometown and local area of Northern NSW in the Clarence Valley. I love the country, cattle, horses and nature, spending my spare time with my family exploring.

What I do:
As a Level 2 Support Coordinator, I’m passionate about helping NDIS participants feel supported, understood, and empowered to achieve their goals. I work alongside individuals and their support networks with compassion and care, helping them connect with the right services, build their confidence, and navigate challenges.

With lived experience as a parent of children with additional needs, I bring understanding, compassion, and empathy to my role as a Level 2 Support Coordinator. My positive attitude and problem-solving skills help me provide tailored support, empowering participants to reach their goals in a supportive, person-centred environment.
Previous experience:
In my previous roles, I supported participants with a dual diagnosis, including those involved in the criminal justice system, which helped me develop a deep understanding of complex needs and the importance of tailored support. Additionally, working as a School Learning Support Officer, assisting students with disabilities, allowed me to refine my skills in advocating for individuals and providing practical, person-centred assistance. These experiences have led me to my role as a Support Coordinator, where I can combine my knowledge and passion for helping others to ensure participants receive the best possible support to achieve their goals.

As a Support Coordinator at Auscare Support, my role is to guide and empower clients in their NDIS journey, ensuring they receive the support they need to live more independently. I work closely with clients, their families, and service providers, offering understanding, compassion, and practical assistance to enhance their lives and well-being.

I bring a unique combination of empathy, problem-solving, and strong communication skills. I excel at navigating complex systems, advocating for clients, and tailoring support to individual needs through a person-centered approach. My ability to build rapport and trust with clients allows me to understand their goals and challenges deeply, while my experience in case management and understanding of the NDIS process helps ensure timely access to resources. Additionally, I am highly organized, adaptable, and proactive, which allows me to stay on top of the fast-paced nature of the industry and meet clients’ evolving needs.
Previous experience:
I bring 20 years of experience from the community sector, with 15 years dedicated to disability services. Over the past two years, I’ve focused specifically on the Support Coordinator role. My background includes positions as an Assistant in Nursing, Disability Support Worker, and Youth Worker across both QLD and NSW in private and public sectors. This has provided me with a deep understanding of the unique needs of individuals and how to effectively support them on their NDIS journey.
I hold a Diploma of Community Services and have three certified skill sets in Case Management, Child Protection, and Leading and Supporting Colleagues. These qualifications have enhanced my ability to provide effective, person-centered support, and coordination to clients and their families, ensuring they can successfully navigate and access the services they need based on their unique goals and requirements.

In addition to my experience in the community and disability sectors, I have also worked in retail, as an event coordinator, and have managed the demands of “family life.” These roles have helped me develop exceptional organizational, multitasking, and customer service skills. Retail taught me how to handle fast-paced environments and effectively manage client needs, while event coordination sharpened my attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Being a mum has honed my patience, empathy, and adaptability—skills that are invaluable when supporting clients with diverse needs. These experiences have all contributed to my ability to connect with people and deliver personalized, compassionate support in my current role.

My name is Melissa and as an Auscare Support Worker, I support our clients in their every-day environment, whether that be tasks at home, appointments, or heading out into the community to do something they love! I love watching my clients thrive with the right care and am passionate about supporting them through the tough times.
I have capacity to support NDIS participants with Direct Supports 1:1 in the home and the community in the Southern Highlands, Wollondilly, Macarthur, and Campbelltown areas of NSW.
I previously worked as a support worker with another company after a friend suggested that my passion for helping people would make me well-suited for the role, and I haven’t looked back since. I’ve since been able to use that knowledge to support some of my clients.
I absolutely love acting and the performing arts, as well as all things creative. I’m passionate about good coffee (you could probably call me a coffee snob—ha ha) and enjoy spending time with family and friends, surrounded by good food and a glass of wine. That’s what life is all about!

I am an Argentinian Psychologist with a deep passion for supporting others in their unique journeys. I have a diploma in early childhood development and a strong background in emotional wellbeing.
I bring a warm, empathetic, and person-centred approach to my work as a support worker. I have worked with children, teenagers, and the elderly, always focusing on building genuine connections, encouraging independence, and creating safe nurturing environments.

What I do:
Having been a support Coordinator for 8 years now and having lived experience with a daughter with Down Syndrome and on NDIS herself, I have gathered a wealth of experience and knowledge.
I won’t allow the system to beat me, I will fight on for the rights of any of my participants I feel the NDIS has let down.
I work with a range of clients with physical disabilities, Down Syndrome, ABI, and stroke.
Moving clients from Nursing facilities to SDA and SIL.
I wake up every day and look forward to my job as I love interacting with people, networking, and finding the right supports and allied therapists for the participants I work with. Keeping up with NDIS changes can be a challenge at times, but we cannot know everything all the time.
Unique skills:
I feel I have good knowledge of the programs and supports in the area I work in, I have gained wonderful relationships with many providers and support programs within the disability sector and mainstream.
Having a lived experience, I can relate and have a good understanding of the challenges and rewards having a family member with a disability can bring to our lives.
Previous experience:
Volunteering roles with Special Olympics, past 12 years swimming instructor, and 8 years as a Support Coordinator with Coability. Prior to this lived in Malaysia and was at the forefront with my husband of establishing a learning centre for young adults with Disabilities.
Before having my 3 children, I worked in the creative field as a Visual Display Artist and Stylist.

Prior to entering the disability field, I worked in the creative field as a Visual display artist for many fashion retail chains in Melbourne before heading to London and working as a visual display manager for Olympus Sport.
Working around a diverse range of people and having travelled and lived in different countries has given me an awareness and understanding, and acceptance that we are all unique.

Friendly, helpful, and supportive, still getting to know the team as I’ve only been a contractor with Auscare for 2 months, prior to this, I was a Support Coordinator for 8 years at Coability.
Life outside:
I love travelling, preferably Overseas. I attend my gym and yoga 3 to 4 times a week for mind and body health, I like to go walking.
I love shopping and visiting unique markets, renovating and upcycling furniture and clothes.
I am a creative person and like sewing and drawing.
I like visiting Galleries and spending time with family and friends.

What I do:
I work with people to understand and use an NDIS Plan to meet goals. I encourage and value every step taken and the more choice and control you exercise.
Unique skills:
I am empathetic and a great listener. I love working to resolve complex issues and longer-term goals. I work transparently and honestly within the system, but also think outside of the box.
Previous experience:
My first role in disability was as Team Leader for the SW Sydney LAC program in 2015 during the NDIS rollout. Since then, I have worked as a support coordinator and team leader/recruiter for support workers. I have lived experience as a carer for family members, so I understand how hard it can be to achieve and sustain outcomes, and how important it is to find and use mainstream and community supports.
Other interesting roles:
I have worked in homelessness, food security, aged and asylum seeker services, giving me some unique perspectives. My work is based on a human rights-based commitment, having worked with the Australian Human Rights Commission. My long stints with the Department of Immigration and ActionAid Australia underpin my deep commitment to inclusivity and diversity. I have also lived and worked in Greece and Israel – so I speak Greek, Arabic and Hebrew.
