Started with Auscare Support:
March 2023
What I do:
I work with participants to identify not only their personal support needs, but also their life goals. I assist in making plans to achieve these, and help implement services that are appropriate and beneficial; so that my clients can live their best lives.
Unique skills:
My life so far has spanned three continents, which has given me a unique understanding of multiple cultures and religions, and the importance these can play in people’s lives. This experience allows me to easily relate to participants from all walks of life, including those with diverse backgrounds. I also speak multiple languages.
Previous experience:
I have worked as a Support Worker in both aged care and disability care my entire adult life. I feel this “hands on” experience has taught me the importance good support plays in participant’s lives; and allows me to be a better Support Coordinator as a result.
Other interesting roles:
I studied psychology in Europe for 3 years, before deciding it wasn’t what I wanted to do in life. Even though I didn’t complete that degree, I still like to think I learned a lot about human behaviour, and the importance of good mental health to living a happy life.
What’s Auscare Support like?
My relationship with Auscare Support is very similar to the one I have with my clients! They take the time to understand my work and life goals, and support me to achieve them.
Life outside:
I am a mother to two young children, and “bonus” mother to four others! Between my family and my work, my life is very full! But I have a passion for traveling on the rare occasion I still get the chance.
To sum me up:
I like to think I’m genuine, caring, friendly and positive. I’m always smiling! I really want to help my clients get the most out life!
