Started with Auscare Support:
April 2022
What I do:
I enjoy assisting people to get the most out of their NDIS plans and utilise their funding. The best part of being a support coordinator is witnessing my clients achieve their goals and be happy in their lives.
Unique skills:
I am a very empathetic and a positive person. I have a good rapport with my current clients. I am very productive within my workload and think outside the box.
Previous experience:
In the past 10 years, I have worked as a support worker. I started in aged care for the first 5 years and went onto working with the disability community for the remainder. I absolutely love helping people to thrive, which is why I have moved into my current role.
Other interesting roles:
Before working as a support worker, I worked at Holden in Adelaide making cars.
What’s Auscare Support like?
I find everyone so supportive and happy to help if any issues arise. It’s a lovely working-family feel.
Life outside:
I have two young girls who keep me very busy between sports and schooling. I also play netball, basketball and try to keep fit where I can. I also have two beautiful dogs (mini schnauzer and soft coated wheaten terrier) and my cat, which are part of the family. There is never a dull moment in my house.
To sum me up:
I tend to put others first. I love to make people happy and smile. I am easy going and get along with everyone.
