Our executive, HR, Plan Managers, sales and marketing and Support Staff are based across the Shoalhaven and Southern Highlands of NSW.

(Our team of Support Coordinators work remotely and are located across Australia and embedded in their local communities.)

Regardless of role, we like to employ people who have either worked in the disability sector, have a connection with the industry or have a strong wish to work with people with disabilities.

We prioritise compassion, kindness, empathy, responsiveness and individuals who thrive on achieving outcomes.

We require an NDIS Worker Screening Check.

You don’t need any formal qualification to be a Mentor, you just need to be organised, have the right attitude and want to work as part of a team.

You will need to be positive, energetic, compassionate. You will also take pride in creating comprehensive notes after client appointments and happily operate as part of a close-knit team that supports you in assisting participants.

Your role will be to contribute to your client’s life in a meaningful way. We aim to match your hobbies, interest, age and personality with the participant’s so that you form a genuine connection.

We offer a variety of competitive rates depending on your experience, type of client and time of day that you work. As a minimum, we pay $32 + super per hour.

To begin with ALL mentors are engaged on a casual basis. Because we value the role and you being part of our team, wewant a long-term relationship with you and will be looking for mentors to become permanent (part-time, or full-time) when that is mutually beneficial.

You will be meeting clients where they want to be, this could be at their home or in the community. No two people are the same. No two days will be the same. We want Mentors who value the diversity of their clients’ lives and can meet them wherever is best suited.

We support all individuals and will endeavour to match you with clients who share some common interests. We know that our clients will get the best outcome if they are alongside like-minded people who share some of their interests or passions.

To be a Mentor at Auscare Support, you will need a NDIS Worker Screening Check (which varies per state and territory) as well as a Working with Children Check. A First Aid Certificate is viewed favourably but is not mandatory.

We are currently hiring people over the age of 18 to become Mentors.

If you are transporting clients, you currently need a full car license.

While your own car would be desirable, if you live in a community with good public transport and the client is able to use public transport, then a driver license is not essential.

You need a full driver license and a car that you are insured to drive, whether it is your own or borrowed.
