Auscare support is excited to introduce you to Frances Stark. Frances is one of the Support Coordinators assisting NDIS participants in Melbourne, VIC.
Frances is passionate about assisting her clients to achieve their goals, build their capacity, and exercise choice and control over the supports they receive and how they receive them.
Frances joined the Auscare Support Coordination team in March 2021.
As a mother of a 19-year-old daughter with Cerebral Palsy and Intellectual Disability, she has many years of first-hand practical experience understanding appropriate programs, funding, resources, and navigating through the complex requirements of the National Disability Insurance Scheme.
Frances has experience working as a Support Worker and providing Pastoral Care Support at a local church, including assisting culturally diverse families source appropriate NDIS Service providers.
Frances also has experience working as a CPA Accountant, managing the day-to-day financial operations of small to medium-sized businesses including their cash flow and budgeting requirements. This is an excellent skill set to have when assisting clients with their NDIS budget.
Frances’ passion is to help people find the best outcome in achieving their life goals, ensuring they’re connected with the right providers, and living the most fulfilled and happy life they possibly can.
In her spare time, Frances enjoys spending time with her family, travelling, marathon running, fitness training, and going to the theatre and cafes.

A Moment with Frances Stark
Why did you pursue a career in the disability sector?
Having a personal experience in disability, I have a genuine and caring heart for helping vulnerable people and ensuring they receive what they’re entitled to. In particular I have a passion for helping people with cultural and language challenges. I believe every person has a voice and a right to exercise their own choice and control.
What do you like most about working at Auscare Support?
The values and beliefs they stand by – especially the ability to attain independence in the lives of participants.
Anything Bryce Courtenay writes but particularly “Matthew Flinders’ Cat.”
Ed Sheeran and Dianna Krall, but I also love local artists including Guy Sebastian, Jack Jones and Tina Arena.
Do you have a favourite saying or inspirational quote?
“There is nothing more beautiful than someone who goes out of their way to make life beautiful for others,” Mandy Hale.
Do you have any pets?
A pet Spoodle called Scruffy.
Do you have any hobbies?
My fitness training and my family are my passion.

If you could invite anyone to a dinner party (past or present), who would it be?
Mother Teresa – my inspiration for helping others.
Favourite holiday destination?
Hoi An, Vietnam.
