Auscare support is excited to introduce you to Debra Simpson. Debra is one of the Support Coordinators assisting NDIS participants in the Far North Coast region of NSW.
Debra is passionate about assisting her clients to achieve their goals, build their capacity, and exercise choice and control over the supports they receive and how they receive them.
Originally from Western Australia, Debra has been living in Northern NSW for nearly 30 years now and has experience working in many different sectors of the community.
What gives her the greatest joy is connecting with people. Debra loves to be able to assist others in achieving their goals and making the most of the opportunities available within their community.
For the past 13 years, Debra has been working mainly as a Support Worker, but she’s now made the step to become a Support Coordinator with Auscare. Debra is a dedicated advocate for anyone she provides care and support for and is tenacious in seeing that their needs are met. She is also very sensitive to her clients’ needs and feelings and has experience with various counseling modalities.
In her spare time, Deb loves gardening, beach or bushwalking, swimming, participating in and conducting yoga classes, and spending time with friends and family.
Auscare Support is proud of its reputation for providing the highest level of service to our clients. If you are an NDIS participant looking to engage a Support Coordinator or a service provider exploring Support Coordination services on behalf of a client, please contact Debra today.

A Moment with Debra Simpson
Why did you pursue a career in the disability sector?
Because there is a high demand for services in this sector and I wanted to help people. It's been the most humbling and rewarding time of my life..
What do I like most about working at Auscare Support?
Auscare Support cares about people and equality, right across the board – everyone is treated equally and with respect.
There’s been so many! These days, I only read non-fiction or theology.
“Out beyond the ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing there is a field. I’ll meet you there.” Rumi
Do you have any pets?
No pets at the moment, but I really want a dog again!
Do you have any hobbies?
I paint landscapes sometimes (only for my walls.) Writing blogs . I am continually being creative and making healthy food taste delicious.
Asian. (Favourite naughty food?– Kat’s Yumbars – think sandwich icecream but all healthy ingredients!)
If I could invite anyone to a dinner party, who would it be?
The Dalai Lama. I’m not sure what I would cook though?
Favourite holiday destination...
Turkey. (It's incredible!)
Don't just take our word for it
“Finally! A provider of Support Coordination with sound knowledge of their role and comprehension of how the NDIS framework operates. I can now spend more quality time with my son, trusting that the plan we have worked so hard to achieve will be under Auscare Support’s Guidance.”
