Meet Ali, Support Coordinator

About Ali

Ali Dibbs
Support Coordination

Started with Auscare: May 2021

Ali commenced her career in the disability sector five years ago after working in marketing, banking, and insurance. She hasn’t looked back!

Since working in the sector, Ali has completed university studies in social sciences and psychology, and this has provided her with further knowledge to even better support her clients, especially when times get a little more challenging or complex.

Ali finds great joy working as a Support Coordinator. Her goal is always to help individuals to live their vision of their best and most meaningful life.

Small changes can make such a big difference in peoples’ lives and seeing the flow-on effect to families is often a moving and remarkable experience.

Ali has supported clients with great diversity in needs and is looking forward to assisting more participants with Auscare Support.

In her spare time, Ali loves catching up with friends and her two (now grown up!) children. Her favourite way to relax is long walks with her gorgeous blue merle border collie, Indigo. She also practices meditation and mindfulness, enjoys reading, and has a love for life-long learning.

Contact Ali Auscare Support is proud of its reputation for providing the highest level of service to our clients. If you are an NDIS participant looking to engage a Support Coordinator or a service provider exploring Support Coordination services on behalf of a client, please contact Ali to learn how we can assist.

A Moment with Ali Dibbs

Find out what she likes to do and her personal motto

I have supported loved ones through their individual journeys of experiencing mental health challenges and subsequent impacts on daily living. This ignited my interest in this sector, leading on to my recently completed studies. I believe that everyone has the right to live a rich, meaningful life with dignity, and I strive to live these values in my daily work.

Auscare Supports mission “to empower great futures for our clients and their families” aligns with my own values and approach to my work. The Auscare team have been incredibly welcoming and I look forward to supporting valued Auscare clients well into the future.

My favourite book at the moment is “The Reality Slap” by Russ Harris. It is as inspirational as it is practical, as Russ provides some great tools for dealing with some of life’s greater challenges. I also loved his earlier book “The Happiness Trap”.

I cannot name a favourite, as I am an absolute music lover and listen to many eclectic music styles. I really enjoy listening to my son’s creations, as he is currently studying music production and is always churning out new songs.

“Try to be a rainbow, in someone else’s cloud”, Maya Angelou.

My pooch Indigo, the border collie. She is an absolute sweetheart!

I enjoy salsa dancing, gardening, home renovations, cycling and hiking. Inspired by my daughter, I am now attempting yoga. With my studies completed, I am hoping to have more time for these favourite pastimes.

Any Japanese food including sashimi is delicious.

The Dalai Lama (Buddhist leader), Jane Austen (author) and Michel Foucault (philosopher). I would also invite my two adult children as they would love to banter with these guests, and that would make for a very interesting dinner party!

Sintra in Portugal was stunning! A collision of cultures, with Moorish inspired architecture, delicious food (including little custard tarts called “pastilles de nata”) and the gardens were absolutely spectacular. Highly recommended!
