I support my clients by guiding them and their families through the NDIS journey to achieve their vision of a truly meaningful life. I help them tap into well-suited services and supports that offer new experiences and make life a little easier.
Started with Auscare Support: May 2021
I have supported clients with great diversity in needs, from ages 5 – 65 years of age. My recent completion of a degree in Psychology (Honours), has equipped me to even better support my clients, especially when times get a little more challenging or complex.
Small changes can make such a big difference in peoples’ lives and seeing the flow-on effect for families is often a moving and remarkable experience.
It brings me great joy to support individuals to build their skills in how to navigate the system.
I find real meaning in supporting people to tap into (often innovative) services to live their best life possible, especially when times get a little more challenging. This often leads to the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow!
I have worked in the disability industry for 4 years, which included time as a Disability Employment Officer, as well as a Support Coordinator role with the NDIS.
I also have a special interest in the areas of mental health, spinal and acquired brain injuries.
Other interesting roles:
My career has been varied, with roles in marketing, banking and insurance.
I worked in marketing and promotions for a large retail chain (and met some celebrities at special events)! I have also worked for a local radio station doing live crosses in the four-wheel drive.
I have been a waterslide attendant and later, led teams in the world of banking and insurance.
Ultimately, what all these jobs do have in common is a focus on people and developing connected relationships. Very good grounding for a role as a Support Coordinator!
What’s Auscare Support like?:
The Auscare Support team are incredibly friendly and supportive. This provides a solid basis to work from because I have the right tools and I’m constantly gaining knowledge, which helps me to best support my clients and their carers.
The culture is proactive and one of genuine care – with the team constantly innovating to ensure the services we offer are of real value to our clients. No two days are ever the same, which I love about my work!
I love catching up with friends and my two (now grown up) children. My favourite way to relax is long walks with my gorgeous blue merle border collie, Indigo. I also practice meditation and mindfulness, I enjoy reading and I have a love for life-long learning.
To sum me up:
