What I do

I provide a person centred approach to participants and their families to help them build capacity to understand and utilise their NDIS plans effectively and to get the best outcomes possible.

Started with Auscare Support: July 2021
Unique skills: I have an ability to de-escalate heightened or escalated situations with ease, both in person and via phone. I am also solution focused and like to think creatively for positive outcomes. My role is very rewarding, particularly when you see people’s lives change for the better, even in the smallest ways and goals are achieved.

Previous experience: I have a wide working background in administrative and management roles. For the better part of the last 15 years, I have worked with people with varying disabilities in employment services and in more recent years, as an LAC and Support Coordinator.

Other interesting roles: I have held many roles during my working career from shop assistant, legal secretary to helping in the family signwriting business. I have had a colourful background workwise but always gravitate back to helping others.

What’s Auscare Support like?: From the very first conversation prior to my commencing as a contractor, Auscare Support has been nothing but professional and supportive. Everyone, no matter what role they have in the company is genuine, supportive, and approachable.

Life outside: Outside of work I like to spend time with my partner, and we like to relax at home or holiday in our caravan, mostly at the beach. Often our dogs will accompany us on our holidays as they to like the beach.
I enjoy spending time with our family and friends, having BBQs in the backyard or catching the latest movie at the cinema. A lot of my spare time is taken up with showing my dogs (Samoyeds), where I compete with them in confirmation dog shows around the state.

To sum me up:

I am an empathetic, caring and compassionate person who strives to do the very best in life.

My son has Muscular Dystrophy and uses an electric wheelchair for mobility. I am the Junior Coordinator of Wheelchair Soccer. I help to establish junior teams in the NSW Powerchair Football competition so that my son, and other young people with a disability, can participate

As a parent who has a child with a disability, the flexibility to schedule my own work hours is so important. It ensures that my clients receive the highest level of service whilst my son receives all of the care he needs.

I enjoy swimming and paddle boarding.

I am very family focused, diligent, loyal and passionate about supporting others.
