Started with Auscare Support: April 2021
What I do:
I assist participants and /or their families with understanding their NDIS plans and putting their plans into action to help achieve their short and long term goals.
I have practical and lived experience with disability as a carer to my special-needs daughter and late mother who had dementia and Parkinson’s disease.
I have a passionate and caring nature to help people achieve their goals and see positive and effective changes in their lives
I am the mother of a special needs child with mild cerebral palsy and intellectual disability. Working as a Support Worker has also given me a broader understanding of different types of disability.
I volunteer with my local church, where I have assisted many families, in particular CALD, to obtain NDIS packages and sourcing local providers.
I have been an accountant and have a finance background, so I understand cash flows and budgeting, which helps to ensure packages are appropriately spent and value-for-money is achieved.
