About Mandy

Mandy Beams
Support Coordinator

Started with Auscare: for 8 years

Mandy moved to the Gold Coast in 2018 from Tasmania to set up Disability Employment Offices across the Gold Coast and Tweed Regions. Finding employment opportunities for people with disabilities has been a long-term and strong passion which has helped improve and change people’s lives.

Moving into her new career as a Support Coordinator has been an extremely rewarding change. Mandy’s favourite part is helping people  to reach their whole of life goals through the assistance of the NDIS.

Outside of work, Mandy is loving the Gold Coast weather! She enjoys the outdoors to explore new places and trails, fishing and travel. She loves painting and being creative to enjoy the quiet times at home with family.

A Moment with Mandy Beams

Find out what she likes to do and her personal motto

I had worked in the community services sector for a long period of time and knew I wanted to specialise in an area. At the time, I had helped a gentleman named Damien to connect with services. Damien had Cerebral Palsy and his mobility and speech were affected. He always had a smile on his face, cracked a joke and came to me with motivational messages to brighten my day. I was so inspired by his attitude and outlook on life that I would commit to helping others with disabilities to achieve their goals.

Auscare Support offer me flexibility to enjoy my lifestyle and to do things I love. I can then also help others to achieve the things they dream of.

The Perfect Storm – Sebastian Junger. (Also my very favourite Film)

I’d have to go with Pink. She was also great live!

I think “Just do it” is a favourite of mine. Don’t procrastinate, get into it!

I love Ocean Trout with crispy skin covered in Lemon Pepper.

I would definitely invite my pop who passed away 20 years ago. I would love to fill him in on the last 20 years and play a game of Crib with him.

French Alps and Japan were my best ones so far.
