I help clients bring the goals in their NDIS plan to life, from budgeting to recommending the right supports for their needs to help build confidence and capacity.
Started with Auscare Support: July 2020
I think outside the box when needed to help solve challenging issues. I show compassion and empathy towards those I am supporting and am a strong believer in building independence and capacity where possible.
I have more than 17 years’ experience in different sectors of disability. This includes many years as a Support Worker where I had different roles that gave me the experience and knowledge of the NDIS and a variety of disabilities. I assisted a few clients with their journey with NDIS long before Support Coordination, and was a team leader in several teams.
Other interesting roles:
Most of the work I have done my entire life has been related to support of some kind. I did do a few years in retail but was not keen on it. Outside my disability work I have also enjoyed volunteering my time with animal charities.
What’s Auscare Support like?
I love it. It’s very much a working family. I have nothing but support from my colleagues, coaches and anyone connected to us. I am able to enjoy highly fulfilling work that connects me to so many different types of people, both clients and providers.
At this point in time there is not much spare time, between renovating my house with my partner; spending time with our 4 dogs, 1 cat and a turtle, and there are also my 2 nearly grown children (19 and 17 years old).
To sum me up:
I work from the heart as much as my head to be creative and try to think outside the box to benefit others and come up with ideas that someone may not have thought of.
