  • Auscare Support offers Support Coordination, Plan Management, Budget Building, and Support Staff services to NDIS participants. Since 2015 we have been expanding across New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria, and South Australia.
  • Each day, our team of Support Coordinators take a proactive, responsive, and outcome-focused approach to meet the high standards we set for service delivery.

Please note this role is an independent contract position, you will be required to manage all aspects of being an independent contractor including superannuation, tax requirements, and expenses, along with providing your own computer and phone, etc.

1Full Training

Auscare Support will ensure you are fully trained in:
• Careview and My Spending Planner software
• The Auscare Support Coordination methodology
• NDIS compliance 

2Marketing Support

Promoting you to referrers and prospects in your service area with introduction letters, business cards, brochures and via social media. 

3Back Office Software

Auscare Support have partnered with Careview to provide all of our Support Coordination client record management software solutions. We also use My Spending Planner to assist with creating accurate client budgets in line with the latest price guide.

4Continual Professional Development

Auscare Support will ensure that you are kept up to date with all of the relevant NDIS changes and anomalies. We have engaged DSC, an industry leading consulting group, to deliver ongoing training for our Support Coordinators.

5NDIS Accreditation

The requirements from the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission are onerous and expensive. This is fully taken care of by Auscare Support, enabling you to concentrate on your role.

6Compliance Audit

The NDIS requires an annual audit. Throughout the year the Auscare Support head office team will ensure your notes and client records are maintained to exceed standards and are audit compliant.

7Templates and Workflows

Auscare Support will give you a set of Support Coordination specific workflows and templates, that will guide you to delivering the supports. 

8Wellbeing Program

Auscare Support offers online wellbeing sessions, conducted twice per week via video conferencing to keep you healthy in mind and body.

Our engagement process

On average, our engagement process takes 30 days to complete. Our Support Team will be with you all the way to assist you.

1. Application

Will be reviewed within 14 days of submission. 

3. Video application

A link to an online platform called Retorio will be sent via email. 

5. Reference checks

Telephone reference checks will be conducted with the two most recent managers.

Candidates will be contacted via phone to arrange an interview. 

4. Panel interview

A panel interview via video meeting will be conducted with our Recruitment Manager and two Support Coordination Coaches. Questions will be provided prior to the interview to give time to prepare.

If successful in all the above stages, we will commence our onboarding and training process.

Why I made the switch to Auscare Support

Independent Contractor – Support Coordinator

I joined the Auscare team in  late 2019. I had been working in the disability sector for the past seven years and had experience working as a Support Worker, a Teacher’s Aide and as an Office Manager in a School for Specific Purposes. My son has Muscular Dystrophy and I understand the challenges that both NDIS participants and their families face on a daily basis. I have always wanted to be able to help people.

I enjoyed the work that I had been doing and seeing the positive outcomes achieved for participants, however, I wanted to have more flexibility in terms of being able to spend time with my son. When I discovered the opportunity to join Auscare Support as an Independent Contractor providing Support Coordination services, I was very excited.

The whole engagement process was explained clearly to me. Shortly after my interview, I was offered the position. I signed the contract and went through the induction phase where I received training on Auscare Support’s policies and procedures, systems and service delivery methodology, ‘The Auscare Way.’

The most daunting part of the experience were my concerns over transitioning being an employee to an independent contractor working from home. There are things you need to consider such as tax implications and superannuation contributions, but my accountant was able to assist me with my enquiries and the process of applying for an ABN was simple. The change of work environment took a while to get used to, but I connect with other Support Coordinators regularly via video conference, phone and email. 

Since starting with Auscare Support, I have relished the autonomy that I have in terms of building the client base in a new region (Greater Western Sydney) and I have been fully supported with marketing materials and administrative support when I have had any questions or concerns. Auscare Support’s partnership with DSC has also provided me with ongoing training. This training ensures that I keep up-to-date with the ever changing rules and regulations of the NDIS so I can provide my clients with the best Support Coordination service.

I am very happy with the decision I made to join Auscare Support. I have more time to spend with my son, I am playing a part in building the business and I enjoy assisting my clients to maximise the outcomes and goals of their NDIS Plan.
