My Plan Build: Maximising Your NDIS Funding

What is My Plan Build

My Plan Build is a new service offering from Auscare Support + My Spending Planner. You schedule sessions with an Auscare Support Plan Builder over the phone or via Zoom. During your first session, a plan is developed showing all the services you need and their cost. This is matched to your NDIS funds to make sure you are using all your funds and are not going over budget.

Your Plan Builder sends you a detailed report of the plan that you can use as a reference or share with your Plan Manager or Support Coordinator. You will feel in control of how you are managing your funds and confident that you can get the results you want.

When would I engage My Plan Build?

The beginning

There are some key times during your plan. At the beginning of your new plan, you will want to know how to allocate the funds over the life of the plan to ensure you have services for the duration.

You may be setting up service agreements with providers, giving them your frequency of supports, including details of the hours and days of the week.

The middle

In the middle of the plan, you might want to take a moment to check back in and see how your funds are tracking. Do you need to modify or increase the frequency of services or ask for a plan review? Our reports document the balance of funds, and the report enables you to show what it is you require.

The end

At the end of your plan, prior to review, you will look back over your spending and how you have used your funds. This guides your conversation with your Local Area Coordinator (LAC) or Early Childhood Early Intervention Coordinator (ECEI) and justifies the need for the same, increased, or a different combination of funds. Our report gives you a detailed breakdown of your next activity statement. Make the most of the conversation with your LAC/ECEI and be confident in asking for what you need.

How much does it cost?

We charge for each My Plan Build session and any additional phone calls and emails. My Plan Build can be paid for from your Core or Capacity Building budget. The current hourly rate is $60 per hour.

We recommend that in addition to your first Plan Build session, you schedule quarterly, half-year and new Plan Build sessions.
