Recently Auscare Support have invested in two internal positions called “Support Coordination Coaches”. The focus of the role is to provide professional development and additional support to our Independent Support Coordination team. Our two coaches are experienced Support Coordinators, with extensive industry knowledge and strong leadership skills. Both of our coaches had been working in the Auscare Support team for some time before making the transition into the new role.
Recently Auscare Support have registered with DSC to utilise their Fora training platform, giving our Independent Support Coordinators the opportunity to refresh on their skills, and enhance their industry knowledge.

They work with a variety of organisations that share the same ambitions in both a consulting and training capacity. We believe DSC is one of the leading training and consulting organisations in the disability sector and we are proud to be able to offer their tools and resources our team.
The Fora platform developed by DSC offers a variety of courses including; Understanding Plan Management, Support Coordination and NDIS Plans, through to more complex subjects including; Completing a (SIL) Supported Independent Living Application, 2020-21 Price Guide Update and Understanding Billable Hours.
DSC also run regular webinars on a variety of topics that keep us up-to-date with any industry changes and improvements, along with sending regular mail outs with industry updates to anyone registered on their “Learners List”.
At Auscare Support it is our goal to set a benchmark across our organisation and ensure all our Independent Support Coordinators have the experience and tools they need to deliver exceptional standards of support to our participants.
We believe the Fora platform offers a well-rounded and self-paced approach to learning for anyone seeking to make the Segway into Support Coordination with Auscare Support, as well as ensuring the highly experienced team members are refreshing their skills and keeping informed of any changes.
Auscare Support plan on dispersing the training in a tailored and controlled approach over the next twelve months, starting from the ground up to ensure our team takes the time to undergo the training as well as implement it into their daily practices.
